Being big has it's benefits. There's a lot of world you can see when you're that size! Cabinet's are no longer mystical spaces beyond your scope, but instead a dusty placeholder which (in my opinion) would look nicer with a bit of decoration. I wonder how good an idea it would be to put a fake plastic owl up there to ward off mice that could rummage through your things. You think the mice would be like "Oh my god, how the fuck did the bird get in here? That's like an outside thing!" because that could be a good idea. But only if you're tall. Small people have to use a chair to get up to a cabinet. Fake owl and chair, that's like. Disasterville U.S.A right?
Benefits to shrinking a tiny bit: Some of your old hoodies and sweaters and shirts and pants and stuff become baggy and cool looking on you! If that's not really what you're looking for than understandably this may not be your most choice outcome. But i think that's pretty neat honestly! An air of ubiquity is never a bad thing. keep the general populous guessing before you give away the goods right? And that's what being slightly smaller is all about. Hiding. Small people are the BEST at hide and seek, after all.
it's hard to recognize yourself, when you change so much so quickly. the mirror reflects back something you aren't sure what to make of it. In some ways, we change day by day. our nose shifts to the left a few millimeters, our hands have some more wool on them than yesterday, our teeth stain or become unstained or decay. You could also shave your head, or lose your eye, be unable to swallow anymore because your mouth is swung agape forever. but change is natural. You can never take too much comfort in the way life is currently. Because the next day is always a new step, y'know? so why just stay in one area when you could be stepping forward into a new version of you? maybe one you enjoy more? or that feels truer to ones self. are you truly the most honest version of you currently? What might that be, even? do you want to seek it? are you scared of finding out?
okay yeah sometimes change is just scary and it hurts and i'm like really small and i don't wanna be small forever. lift me up please!
